Second semi final for the Dingers

Duns traveled to Langholm for their Quarter Final tie which saw which saw the game tied at 4 – 4 after 90 mins.

After a Sean Robertson double and a Steven Burns tap in saw Duns thrice take the lead honours were even at half time against Langolm in a quarter final Waddell cup tie.

The restart saw Duns again take the lead with Liam Demarco striking high into the net from 18 yards. Again Langholm equalised and the game went into extra time.

Langholm did create plenty chances but could not capitalise. For the first time in the game Langholm took the lead and held on until the dying seconds when a Sean Spoors strike from a free kick given by referee S. Bowers against Langolm keeper for time wasting saw the back of the net.

Penalty kicks to decide a cup tie for the second week beckoned for Duns. Gary Renton stepped up to dispatch the first with the Dingers keeper Riach saving the reply.
Grant Keenan added a second with Langholm scoring with a well struck penalty.
Sean Spoors added a third with Langholm missing a second striking the crossbar.
Liam Demarco missed his spot kick with the same result, Langholm’s 4th ended the contest when the strike hit the post.

Duns will face the winners of Tweedmouth Ams v Gordon in the Semi Final of the Waddell Cup
