Duns winning run contiues in local derby

Duns winning run continues.

The Dingers ground out a 2 – 1 victory over visitors Coldstream Ams.

The local derby was hard fought with chances a plenty, Ciaran Ellison scored with 39 minutes on the clock.
Dylan Patterson missed a chance to extend Duns’ lead a few minutes later with the ball getting stuck under his feet.
The half ended with Duns having most of the play to advance the score line with the upright coming to Coldstream’s rescue.

The second half started with Coldstream looking for the equaliser, which they found after a foul just outside the 18 yard box saw the visitors equalise firing the free kick low and hard under the Anderson in goal.

Undeterred The Dingers continued to attack, making several substitutions, Gary Renton for Liam Horne, Ewan Feeney for Mo Ponton and Ross Hutchison for Kieran Swinney.
Hutchison was making some good movement down the left causing all sorts of problems for the Coldstream defence.

On 84 minutes Sean Robertson scored Duns 2nd and had further chances saved by the Coldstream keeper. The result was hard won and well deserved with all departments working for the victory, and sees The Dingers with 15 points from a possible 18.

Next week Duns play Coldstream Ams at Coldstream in a Wright Cup tie.
