Duns U15’s 2-3 Hawick U15’s

Duns under 15’s started there league campaign with an away game to last year’s league and cup winners Hawick. The young dingers started well pilling the pressure on from the off with Jay Douglas testing the keeper. The home team started to come back into the game but the back four stayed firm. The deadlock was broken 10 minutes from the end of the 1st half, some good play by Hawick and a good finish. The 2nd half started like the 1st, Duns piled on the pressure and Douglas broke free, with a nice finish making it 1-1. Hawick then made it 2-1 with a dubious penalty, Fraser Thompson bringing down their striker, harsh to say the least. Duns levelled again with a 25 yard free kick by Callum Smith which was just deserved. 2-2 chances for both sides but it was Hawick 10 minutes from the end that wrapped up the game. Good build-up and a shot from outside the box that was tipped onto the bar by Thompson but Hawick were quicker with the rebound taking all the points.
