Duns Management Team commit to another season

Duns FC are pleased to confirm that Current manager James Brydon and Assistant Keith ‘Dava’ Wilson have agreed to stay at the club next season.

It has been a hugely progressive season for the young squad where Duns finished 4th in the league this year, a huge improvement from when James & Keith took over at Oct 2017 when Duns were rooted the the bottom on the league with only 3 points. The turn around has been fantastic to see.

Plans are already in place to add a few more players to the squad for the 2019/20 season with all of the current squad having also put pen to paper despite understable interest from other clubs for the talented youngsters. Speaking after last nights last league game James said ‘it’s been a really encouraging season and had a couple of bad results gone our way we would have been in with a shout of battling for promotion however it wasn’t to be but it’s been a great learning curve for our younger players.

I’m over the moon everyone has signed for next season as they are a great bunch of lads with huge potential of winning trophies next year. We have a few new signings to come in which will only benefit the squad. The work off the pitch at New Hawthorn Park by the committee has been just as impressive with the new changing facilities and club room due to be complete for next season means we have one of the best set ups in border football. Both me and Dava can’t wait to get started for preseason.’
