Duns exit the Wright Cup

Duns 1 – 3 Linton Hotspur

Still looking for their first win of the season Duns have 1 less cup to think about being knocked out of the Wright Cup.

With a minimul squad and 2 subs Duns played host to Linton Hotspur in the Quarter Final of the Wright Cup

2 sucker punches saw the Dingers go into the break 2 goals down.

With 15 minutes left in the game Duns scored what could be the goal of the season from sub Paul Mathewson and continued to look for the equaliser, continued pressure creating a few chances but unable to convert to tie the game.

The tie was put to bed by Linton Hotspur when the visitors cleared their ranks from a corner, catching Duns on the break and score in the dying seconds.

Today’s match ball was kindly donated by Grieves West and Ayre

Duns have a free weekend after their exit from the Cup.
