Well earned 3 pts at home for Duns

With no games for a month and league points a vital necessity The Dingers deserved a well earned win at NHP.

Duns started on the front foot attacking the visitors from the kick off, 5 minutes into play a corner kick came back to the feet of Kieran Sweeney who promptly dispatched it to the back of the net. Continuing to create chances and the opposition not posing too much of a threat, the scoreline remained the same until half time.

Duns continued to control the game after the restart with centre back Gary Renton dominating play from the back and encouraging play to go forward.
Ross Hutchison came on as sub on 70 minutes and made an immediate impact winning a penalty a few minutes later.

Captain Sean Robertson made no mistake from the spot, 4 minutes later a well worked move between Mo Ponton and Ross Hutchison saw the latter add to the scoresheet beating the keeper at the near post.

The Dingers substituted several other players. A back 3 containing an average age in the 30’s saw Duns get the 3 points and a clean sheet.
Nice to see Kevin Simpson back in a Duns shirt along with Grant Keenan and Steven Burns they are rallying to the cause to keep The Dingers in BAL B.

Next week, 17/02/18, it is back to the Waddell Cup and a 4th attempt to play the tie against St Boswells at NHP.
