Duns 3-2 Kelso

A lacklustre performance from the Dingers saw them grind out a 3.2 victory over C Division rivals Kelso Amateurs at NHP. With both sides creating few chances the first half ended goalless. It took the return of top scorer Sean Robertson 2 minutes into the second half to open the scoring with a fine strike to the keepers left. It took an equaliser on 65 minutes to spur the Duns team into action, beginning to create more goal scoring chances. A string of free kicks within scoring distance saw chances being spurned. With 6 minutes left Mo Morgan was brought down in the box with the resultant penalty from Robertson being saved, 2 minutes later another penalty award saw Robertson bag his second. The Dingers continued to press forward adding a third from Robertson on 90 minutes.
With the points in the bag Duns took their eye off the ball and conceded a second to the visitors on 90+2 bringing about a nervous few minutes until the ref blew for full time. Feeney and Burns replaced Hutchison and Douglas. Duns AFC have 10 points from 4 games in the BAL C Division. Back to Collie Cup competition on Sat 8th with the visitors to NHP being CFC Bowholm in a semi final tie that kicks off at 2pm.
