Duns 2-1 Stirling University

The Premier Division leaders had won 9 and drawn 1 of their 10 games
this season but the Dingers were unimpressed by those stats as they took the
game to the students. Good work by Michael Robinson allowed Gary Waddell to set
up Steven Burns for his 4th goal in his last 3 games with only a minute on the
clock. The Dingers created several more chances without managing to hit the net
but suffered a blow when Michael Robinson had to go off with a broken nose. The
impressive Kieran Lee then put Cameron Beasley through and he chipped the
‘keeper to put the home side 2-0 up. The second half saw Duns forced back but
they defended resolutely until the 80th minute when Stirling pulled a goal
back. It was all hands to the pump for the last 10 minutes (plus 5 more in
stoppage time) and home ‘keeper Scott Lumsden had to be at his best to keep the
students at bay. The Dingers were out on their feet by the end but the revival
continues with a result that will make others sit up and take notice. A great
all round team performance from Duns.
